Secondary research involves taking raw data and information, such as notes, test results and reports, and analysing them to come to a particular conclusion. Tertiary research involves using sources such as journal articles and books to support a particular argument. CASE STUDY: John**, 22, a marketing student from Sydney, got an assignment which required him to research a company, determine the types/streams of marketing they had in place, and conduct a SWOT analysis. John handed in his research assignment on time, and later emailed to let us know he’d received a high distinction for it.
